2 Cancer symptom trials: membership
Overview Applications are welcome from health professionals and researchers interested in cancer symptoms and supportive care trials. Full or associate membership is available to Australian and New Zealander health professionals and researchers. Associate membership is available to consumers, industry representatives and international researchers. Organisational membership is available for healthcare and healthcare research organisations. Membership is free; no annual renewal required.

Cancer symptom trials: membership Benefits Membership benefits include: access to professional and research networks in the field of cancer symptom management access to concept development workshops and other CST support to develop trial concepts regular newsletters and information about CST activities including opportunities to be involved in CST clinical trails and clinical trial development invitation to attend the CST annual scientific meeting and other workshops organised by CST access to discounted membership of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA).

4 Membership levels: Full membership
Cancer symptom trials: membership Membership levels: Full membership Full membership is available to those who are: Australian or New Zealander researchers, health professionals and other experts e.g. bioethicists, health lawyers active in, or have an interest in, cancer symptom and supportive care clinical trials. Full members can nominate for positions on the Management Advisory Committee and Scientific Advisory Committee.

Cancer symptom trials: membership Membership levels: Associate membership Associate membership is open to: international health professionals and researchers not from Australia or New Zealand who are active or have an interest in cancer symptom and supportive care clinical trials consumer advocates and members of the community who have an interest in cancer symptom management and clinical trials industry representatives who have an interest in cancer symptom management and clinical trials.

Cancer symptom trials: membership Membership levels: Organisational membership Organisational membership is open to: healthcare and healthcare research organisations interested in cancer symptom and supportive care trials consumer-based groups interested in cancer symptom and supportive care clinical trials advocates.

How to apply Discuss your application with a current CST member who can nominate you. You will also need another CST member to second the nomination. If you are not currently in contact with any CST members, and you will be put in touch with someone to discuss your application. Submit your online membership application: Go to and click on ‘Membership’. Read the information then click on ‘APPLY-INDIVIDUAL’ or ‘APPLY-ORGANISATIONAL’ to access the relevant application form. Fill in the online form then click ‘Finish’. Your application will be assessed and you will be notified of the outcome via within three to five business days.
