7 Dry Mixed Recycling - Process
Collection Bales are sent to reprocessors & made into new products Materials Recycling Facility – mechanically sorted into different materials & baled Waste & Recycling at University of Portsmouth

8 Inspection Collection Crew arrive at Bin Compound
Visual check of top layer of bags Contamination is found such as food/liquid waste Correct clean and dry recycling is found Contaminated bags removed (2 / 3 bags) Bin is emptied into vehicle 2nd check of Recycling bin Recycled Further contamination found General Waste Bin Waste & Recycling at University of Portsmouth
