Things to remember Include APA's DGR from the beginning – even BEFORE legislation is introduced. Partnering with other medical specialties is important and raises the visibility of psychiatry. Likewise, maintaining a good relationship and being involved with your state medical association can also raise visibility and help keep bad legislation at bay. STATE ADVOCACY CONFERENCE 2020
