12 Sectioning Tools (Planes Mode)
Enable the Move Gizmo to adjust the section plane. Perpendicular arms will move the current plane. Parallel arms will move only the gizmo.

13 Redline Tools Markups and comments within the model scene

14 Measure Tools Measures the distance between two points.
Measures the distance between a base point and various other points. Measures a total distance between multiple points along a route. Calculates the sum total of several point-to-point measurements. Calculates an angle between two lines. Calculates an area on a plane. Clears all measuring lines in the Scene View.

16 Identification of clashes Inspection of clashes Reporting of clashes
Clash Detective Identification of clashes Inspection of clashes Reporting of clashes The Clash Detective tool enables effective identification, inspection, and reporting of interferences (clashes) in a 3D project model. Using Clash Detective can help you to reduce the risk of human error during model inspections. Clash Detective can be used as a one-off “sanity check” for a completed design work, or it can be used as an ongoing audit check of the project. You can use Clash Detective to conduct clash tests between traditional 3D geometry (triangles), and laser-scanned point clouds. You can combine the Clash Detective functionality with other Autodesk Navisworks tools: Linking Clash Detective and Object Animation together gives you the ability to automatically check interferences between moving objects. For example, linking a Clash Detective test to an existing animation scene would automatically highlight clashes for both static and moving objects during the animation, for example, a crane rotating through the top of a building, a delivery lorry colliding with a workgroup, and so on. Linking Clash Detective and TimeLiner together enables the time-based clash checks on the project. See Use TimeLiner for Time-Based Clashing for further details on time-based clashing. Linking together Clash Detective, TimeLiner, and Object Animation enables clash testing of fully animated TimeLiner schedules.’ Clash Detective enables you to set up the rules and options for your clash tests, view the results, sort them, and produce clash reports.
