2 In parallel, BBIA should agree its own definitions, usage of terms, standards and marking (Organic Model)- get our own house in order 1 2 3 4 Agree the universal definition and usage of terms such as biodegradable and compostable Agree a universal set of standards and criteria that your materials must conform to, including independent governance and certification mechanism and sustainability factors. Agree product labelling and marking Obtain buy-in and sign-off by MRFs/PRFs, Composters, DEFRA

Right now, Brands and retailers want everything recyclable Even if there is no practical recycling infrastructure to deal with many product lines Keep it Simple – Let certified compostables follow & facilitate the food waste recycling system
