Agree the universal definition and usage of terms such as biodegradable and compostable
Agree a universal set of standards and criteria that your materials must conform to, including independent governance and certification mechanism and sustainability factors.
Agree product labelling and marking
Obtain buy-in and sign-off by MRFs/PRFs, Composters, DEFRA

3. Compostable = Organically Recyclable…
Right now, Brands and retailers want everything recyclable
Even if there is no practical recycling infrastructure to deal with many product lines
Keep it Simple – Let certified compostables follow & facilitate the food waste recycling system
