In control spinal cord sections, there appears to be an increase in myelin after IF (A) compared with AL diet (B). Similarly, in les there are more membrane wrappings around axons after the IF diet (D) compared with AL (C). Scale bars: inset, 1 μm; larger image, 1 mm.
