1 TIPS REGARDING FORMATTING
NHS 111/IUC (Integrated Urgent Care) & The Clinical Assessment Service Model (CAS) (IUC) In London, NHS11 Integrated Urgent Care services are contracted separately by each of London’s five STP areas to four care providers, LAS in NE and SEL etc. Historically, there have been two types of workforce within 111: health advisors (non-medical), and clinical advisors, (Nurses & Paramedics). The IUC model enables the development of a multi professional (virtual or call centre based) Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) including GPs, Advanced Nurses/Paramedics, Pharmacists, Dental Nurses and MH Nurses. IUS has moved NHS 111 from an ‘assess and refer’ model to a ‘consult and complete’ model achieved through integrating GP OOHs services and local Primary/Community Care services with NHS 111 As part of London’s IUC offer all calls with an Emergency Department or Cat 3/4 Ambulance dispositions are re-triaged by a Clinician to reduce the number of low category ambulance dispatches and attendance at ED through further clinical assessment attempting to refer callers to primary/community care services. This provides access to electronic prescribing. If f2f is needed booking in to patients own GP, GP access hubs, local pharmacies or referring into a rapid response community service. 2.22m 111 calls since April 2018. Use space to create emphasis. Use no more than 2-3 colours, and dark type on a light background. Conclusions first, keep them short and to the point in the upper left-hand corner. Simple graphs are effective graphs. Make the text big enough to read. Use Arial or Lato font. ALWAYS left align the text. Keep your headings the same size and style throughout. Avoid chaos, keep the layout easy for the eye to follow. Images and graphs say more than words, so keep your poster visual. If you are using a photo, avoid web images – use at least 150 dpi, but no more than 300 dpi. Don’t forget any other logos where necessary. 42,000 111 calls received each week in London in % increase from 2018 48% of all ED dispositions referred to 111 Overridden and changed to alterative appropriate outcome 73% Cat 3 /4 Ambulance override rate by 111 clinician @healthyLDN
