2 Facts about Volkswagen Scramble
It’s Australia’s longest running, largest and most popular club teams event. Over 1 million golfers have participated in the Volkswagen Scramble, with the Women’s Only event reaching 27,000 participants alone. The event was restructured in 2017 to ensure that the season is extended to run over the summer months, increasing the opportunity to run more events and maximise player participation. More than 14,000 cars have been sold as a result of the event.

3 Event Overview The Volkswagen Scramble continues to be Australia’s largest teams based golf event and is a great opportunity for Volkswagen Dealerships to engage their local community and drive sales. 4-person Ambrose teams event. Played at three levels: 1. Local Event 1st August 2019 – March 1st 2020 400 Local events nationally sponsored by local Volkswagen dealers 2. Regional Final March 2020 30 events nationally (PGA Professional joins the team) 3. Championship Final May 2020, 4 day ultimate golf experience hosted on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Each player receives tee gifts and plays for a great range of Callaway Golf prizes which are all provided by the PGA of Australia. Each player is eligible to an exclusive ‘$1000 Offer’ from selected Volkswagen vehicles.

4 Volkswagen Scramble $1000 Offer
A Volkswagen Scramble $1000 Offer has been developed to help generate more car sales for your dealership through an engaged consumer database. A $’1,000 Offer’ is available on selected vehicles and will help you to close more deals! Who’s eligible for the offer: Any participant who has registered or has participated in a Volkswagen Scramble. PGA Members and employees of Australian Golf Clubs. Social guests/clients that you invite to participate in a Volkswagen Scramble. **Immediate family members of the three categories above, are also eligible to claim the exclusive offer. The exclusive offer is available for a period from 1 July 2019 – 31 December 2019.

5 Sponsor Benefits This partnership provides Volkswagen dealerships with a sales, promotion and customer relationship platform to leverage as part of a national campaign which is delivered locally. BENEFITS Naming rights of the event. Opportunity to activate and engage with local community. Up to eight (8) social guest spots. Branding through signage and car displays. Opportunity to provide each participant with an additional promotional offer. Pre and post event social media and/or e-newsletters coverage. Opportunity to speak at presentations to promote your dealership and discount offers. Build your customer database. ***Note (please delete prior to sending to dealership) Above are some example benefits, however the PGA encourages the host Club and sponsoring Dealer to discuss benefits that meets each others strategies and objectives.

6 Sponsor Resources Each sponsoring Volkswagen dealership will receive a Volkswagen Scramble Signage Kit to display and compliment your existing dealership signage at each event. Volkswagen Scramble Signage Kit Tee sign Tee markers x36 Media wall Other resources will be developed and uploaded into Myadbox for dealership staff to access.

Leverage Involvement and Opportunities Sell more cars thanks to the Volkswagen Scramble! Educate your sales team about the $1000 Offer. Utilise the dealership resources and Signage kit that is readily available to promote your event. Get involved in the event - make sure the players remember you and your dealership. Run an event day promotion to create stronger leads. E.g. Win a weekend test drive of vehicle. Provide business cards and flyers to participants at registration on event day. Incorporate a Hole in One prize to lift the excitement of the event. Provide novelty prizes on the day E.g. Callaway branded products, pro shop vouchers etc. Contact the PGA for assistance. Provide a Volkswagen vehicle to the Regional Final qualifying team to travel to the event in. Get creative and work with your club to identify branding opportunities. Under investment, if you are asking for financial support, indicate where you would be investing the money into your event.
