17 Our location Lund University is located in the Copenhagen-Malmö region, which is one of Europe’s fastest growing regions. Lund-Malmö area is ranked the 4th most inventive region in the world (Forbes 2013) Lund University has four campuses (Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg and Ljungbyhed), but the main campus is in Lund and the majority of the Lund University students study there. Copenhagen international airport is just 35 minutes away from Lund. Copenhagen, the largest city in Scandinavia, is just 45 min away by train.

23 Academic life Informal class environment – call Professors by their first name Students are active in the class discussions Studies are usually undertaken 1-2 courses (modules) at a time, with an examination or essay at the end of each individual course. Courses can be anything from two to 20 weeks long. Most courses are around 5 or 10 or 20 weeks long. Your timetable will change.

28 Four distinct seasons Experience the 4 seasons!
Autumn: 6 to 16 Celsius Winter: -5 to 3 Celsius Spring: 3 to 16 Celsius Summer: 20 to 25 Celsius Experience the 4 seasons! In some cases winter where your exchange is taking place is much colder than in Lund. For other countries, Sweden will of course be much colder – and darker - than what they are used to, but the buildings and houses are also built for the cold and you are always warm inside. The summer means much longer daylight hours, making up for the dark winter months.

29 No sitting in traffic! Plus very good transport with regular trains between cities.
Everything in the campus cities is within reach on foot or bicycle – your housing is typically never more than 5-20 minutes away from class.
