2 Other Elements in Living Organisms
A single cell in your body contains a large number of organic compounds. Other elements combine with carbon to make a variety of compounds on which living things depend.

3 ELEMENTS IN ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
Some other elements beside carbon include: Oxygen & hydrogen: water has both of these in it, and you have a lot of water in your body.

4 Other Important Elements
Sulfur and nitrogen: These are important parts of proteins. Phosphorus: This element allows your cells to get the energy they need. Sulfur & nitrogen deficiency Phosphorus deficiency

5 Organic Compounds- Not Just From Living Things
Organic compounds make up living things. Organic compounds can be manufactured for medicines and drugs. They are the same ones you find in your food.
