2 VISION The vision of the Advanced Academics Program is to provide a climate which values and nurtures the talents and potential of gifted and talented students and prepares them to be contributing members of the world and successful in their life.

3 MISSION The mission of the Advanced Academic Program is to meeting the needs of the gifted students. The curriculum that is designed is integrated, project-based, significant, relevant, and rigorous.

4 GOALS The goals for 2018-2019 are to:
Promote critical thinking and reasoning abilities Develop and expand thinking skills Utilize differentiated strategies for learning Facilitate opportunities for learning Develop project-based (STEM) integrated learning activities

7 STEM (Project-Based Learning)
STEAM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in five specific disciplines — Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEAM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.

14 Community Garden “Garden of Life”
Using the “Design Thinking Process”, students designed and built garden beds, and are growing vegetables of their choice to benefit their immediate community. They have also started a butterfly garden for the pollinators. They will follow the foot steps of Jane Goodall and make a difference in the world through their actions. They will maintain the gardens throughout the year.
