2. Why a Generic EDI toolbox ?
Objective
Simplify the generation of GESMES messages
Validation of data (format and codes) in order to avoid/reduce the time consuming process of data correction between Eurostat and the data providers
Promote the use of EDI
Supply Eurostat with good quality data in a standard format
