2 WASTE LUBE OIL RECYCLING
Lubricating oil is an important resource and a petroleum base product. The high price of oil and objective of saving valuable foreign exchange has resulted in efforts for regeneration of used lube oil. Mismanagement of waste lube oil is a serious environmental problem. Almost all types of waste oil have the potential to be recycled safely, saving a precious non-renewable source and at the same time minimizing environmental pollution. Unfortunately, most of used oil is handled improperly.

4 ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND TECHNOLOGIES
Using old technologies like acid treatment have caused tremendous harm to our surrounding environment. Pollution control agencies across world have started promoting ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND TECHNOLOGIES for recycling and refining used oils. Re-refiners and re-cyclers, now have to use only environmentally sound technologies (EST) while re-cycling and refining waste oil. In case of oil re-refiners using acid clay process or modified acid clay process have been advised to switch over to Environmentally Sound Technologies only or close down.

5 WHAT ARE ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND TECHNOLOGIES
The following processes have been approved as Environmentally Sound Processes: Simple filtration and heat treatment for recycling non lube oils such as transformer oils, cutting oils, gear oils, etc. Vacuum distillation using Falling Film Evaporators for recycling of waste oils such as slope oils from refineries, shipyards, etc.. Vacuum distillation using Wiped Film Evaporators and clay treatment for recycling of used lube oils or used engine oils. Vacuum distillation using Wiped Film Evaporators and clay free treatment for recycling of used lube oils or used engine oils.

We OORJA SYSTEMS & CONSULTANTS lead by Mr. Girish Shastry graduate in Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering having more than 18 years of technical experience have developed latest cutting edge process technology which involves recycling waste lube oil using high vacuum distillation through Thin Film Evaporation and further bleaching using either activated bentonite or clay free treatment using synthetic solvent extraction.

8 USED OIL RECYCLING PROCESS IN NUTSHELL
The Used Lube Oil Recycling through High Vacuum Distillation developed by us consists of following stages 1. DEHYDRATION: Dehydration process is typically low vacuum distillation process that yields light oil, diesel from the used oil feedstock. This process is also used to remove moisture. The diesel or other fuels extracted may be used as fuel in boilers and furnaces. 2. HIGH VACUUM DISTILLATION: The feedstock obtained from DEHYDRATION process is subjected to high vacuum distillation. This process yields base oil which is the main product desired. 3. RESIDUE: This is non-distillable part of the feedstock. This contains all the carbon, wear metals, degraded additives and most of the lead and oxidation products.
