Vision Proverbs 29:18 Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. KJV If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed. MSG Vision = 2377 chazon khaw-zone' Seeking a mental vision, guidance from God and the action of writing and adhering to it 86 time in the Old Testament, 17 in the New Testament = 103 times 32 times in Daniel alone Law = torah Direction or instruction of natural (human) leadership under guidance of God Vision Statement - an important goal or purpose that is accompanied by strong conviction; a calling or vocation Don’t get distracted by events, be engaged in what God is doing in people’s lives We fall in love with what we are doing and forget why we exist

In business, people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it
In business, people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. What you do serves as the proof of the “why” (what you believe) My mom and the Subaru commercials Our brains are wired for this, Outer = Neocortex (rational and analytical; all communication) Inner = Limbic Brains (feelings, trust, loyalty; no capacity for language) This is where the term “it just doesn’t feel right” Knowing why you exist and what you do well is how you find peace and satisfaction in your portion. Chris Hodges said in his teachings, “Build your identity around the vision, not the events. So don’t be in love with Church, be in love with lives being changed” Even in business we find ourselves hiring people who not only can do the job or the “what” but believe in the “why”. You want to surround yourselves with people who believe what you believe. Why do we think it is different in church. Martin Luther King didn’t inspire sharing what he would do, or how he would do but instead told people what he believed. Simon Sinek

Vision for the Church Restore Grow Serve Connect
Our Vision - At Church In Ramona, our heart and vision is to see the Church, Christ’s bride, be made whole; spirit, soul, and body. As a family and community, being equipped for every good work in the Kingdom of God. That we fulfill the purpose for which we individually as well as corporately have been created for and in faithfulness to those divine purposes, are making preparation for His return.

Restore 2 Corinthians 13:9-11
9 For we rejoice when we ourselves are weak but you are strong; this we also pray for, that you be made complete. 10 For this reason I am writing these things while absent, so that when present I need not use severity, in accordance with the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down. 11 Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Connect Proverbs 29:18 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Connect 1 Corinthians 1:10 Romans 12:5 1 Corinthians 12:25-27
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 1 Corinthians 12:25-27 1 Cor 1:10 - Cultivating a life in common in the message Romans 12:5 – “The body we're talking about is Christ's body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn't amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ's body” in the message 1 Cor 12:25-27 – “The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don't, the parts we see and the parts we don't. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance. “ in the message So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

1 Peter 2:2 Grow Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. 2 Peter 1:5-8 5 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, 6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, 7 and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Serve Galatians 5:13 Mark 10:45
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." The final step in fulfilling the vision here at Church in Ramona is to get you to serve the body, and potentially lead those who serve You become a leader by being first, being ahead. If you are a teacher, you can’t stroll in right when class starts and be prepared to lead or instruct anyone. In a race how can you tell who is in the lead? Well he is the one out front. Therefore if you choose to lead, don’t expect have the same life or requirements on your life as everybody else Your ministry comes out of the overflow of your love for God. Loving God changes the “why” behind the “what” you do.

Daniel 6:1-3 Leadership It pleased Darius to appoint 120 satraps to rule throughout the kingdom, 2 with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss. 3 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. Only non-Babylonian in the top 3 He wasn’t distinguished- did not stand out by the clothes that he wore or the family history. He distinguished himself Message read “so completely outclassed” Exceptional Qualities = excellent spirit in the NKJ We know the end and how the other two vice regents (governors) get Daniel thrown in the lion’s den by using the law against God. “Because he was faithful and could find no error or fault in him” What are those qualities? Nebuchadnezzar overthrows Jerusalem taking Daniel at 17, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah (We know them as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) Daniel 1:8-15

Leadership 2 Corinthians 3:17-18
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. What are those qualities? Spirit = Numa powered by the air (Breath of fresh air)

Ezekiel 1:10 Leadership 10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. Ezekiel sees the glory of the Lord as the heaven’s open up. A sneak peak at what John sees in Revelation 4 Theologians commonly believe that the four gospels correspond to the four faces of the glory of the Lord

Serving with Excellence
Develop Closeness with God Develop your character to be in the likeness of God Develop your calling Man Ox Eagle Lion The delivery of your vision is just as important as the vision itself. McDonald’s does not make the best burger. Nobody ever went to La Jolla for McDonald’s- but they are the best establishment because the system and delivery of that burger is what made it successful. Ray Kroc’s genius lied within his vision of Serving people fast, providing a simple menu with ease of handling and consumption. “Think steps, not events”
