1 Teacher ONLY slide This is a PowerPoint to show you and the students on what the artefact option is all about. Remember that students do not have to do this, this is so that we can hopefully change the possible outcome for the students that find writing essays hard. Artefact Resources Slide info Slides 2– Looks at the difference between the written projects. The artefact route is highlighted in orange. Slide 4 –6 Possible ideas to come up with a title. The students to think about what they could create, design, produce extra which is linked to their career aspiration / interests. These are just ideas and can come up with something else as long as it can be done on the computer, Slides 7 – 11 How to write the introduction – they have already experienced what to write but these slides are just to help them re-write for their new project idea. Slides 12 – 15 – How to write their 3 x aims and 2 objectives for each aim. There is also an action verb guide on slide 15 to help them start their sentences. Slide 16 – Get the students to open and save the new “Artefact Individual Project” document and save it to their user area. This has the basic structure of what the project will look like. They need to complete the initial ideas, title, introduction, aims and objectives. Homework - due in next lesson- to complete the title, introduction, aims and objectives if they have not completed so that you can deliver how to write a rationale to the whole class in the following.
