Objectives The student will be able to: represent relationship among quantities using tables, graphs, and diagrams identify mathematical domains and ranges identify the inverse of a relation. 2 How about some more definitions? The domain is the
set of 1st coordinates of the ordered pairs. The range is the set of 2nd coordinates of the ordered pairs. A relation is a set of ordered pairs.

3 Given the relation {(3,2), (1,6), (-2,0)}, find the domain and range.

4 What would this be? {(2,4), (3,-1), (0,-4)}

15 c. What conclusions might you make from the graph of the data?
The number of departures of U.S. commercial airlines has increased each year. This may be due to the safer conditions or less expensive airline tickets.
