1 Essay Outline (2) There should be no censorship of DVDs and CDs.
People express themselves through DVDs and CDs. Freedom of speech Right to make movies and CDs What does “offensive” mean? Movies already rated Some CDs with warning labels Where would censorship stop? Would books be next? Artists afraid to make movies

2 Paragraph One (Intro) There should be no censorship of DVDs and CDs. Movies and music are ways people use to express themselves. What’s offensive to one person isn’t always offensive to another. Censorship of DVDs and CDs might spread to other forms of expression.

3 Paragraph Two (Body) Movies and music are ways people use to express themselves. Freedom of speech is protected by the First Amendment. People have the right to make movies and CDs without a censor telling them what language or images are appropriate.

4 Paragraph Three (Body)
What’s offensive to one person isn’t always offensive to another. Besides, movies are already rated based on content and some CDs carry warning labels. Ratings and labels provide guides to people who want to find out if the entertainment in question contains “offensive” material.

5 Paragraph Four (Body) Who knows where censorship of DVDs and CDs might lead? “Offensive” DVDs and CDs most likely would be yanked off shelves in libraries and stores. Would books and the Internet be next? Artists would be afraid to make controversial movies and music.

6 Paragraph Five (Conclusion)
DVDs and CDs definitely should not be censored. Movies and music are ways people express themselves. Anyway, who would determine what’s “offensive” material? Soon censorship could spread to other areas. Freedom of speech might become a thing of the past.
