Please come in and grab the three handouts on the table and begin skimming them: Project outline Topics Project calendar

Step One: Conduct pre-research and select topic
Pre-research today Due by tomorrow: Topic selection AND Write research question (on back of project outline

Find sources and complete summary and synthesis sheet for each source
Steps 2 and 3: Find sources and complete summary and synthesis sheet for each source We will find, read, and complete summary and synthesis sheets for 5 sources over the next week and a half. These will be due throughout unit (see calendar for details).

Steps 4 and 5: Organize and analyze sources
You will annotate (mark up, highlight, make notes, etc.) AND complete a prewriting organizer that leads you to finding a SOLUTION to your mystery (the ANSWER to your research question). Due December 13th

Step 6: Outline We will work on this step towards the end of the semester Due January 4th (day we return from break).

Steps 7 and 8: Draft and Polish
We will work on these last steps in January Drafts will need to be a minimum of 5 pages and incorporate your 5 sources (No Wikipedia!)

To do now (due tomorrow at latest):
Look through Project Topics, begin pre-research on chromebooks. Once you have decided on your topic (no changing, and only one student per topic), let me know and begin writing research question.
