1 1.3 Use Midpoint and Distance Formulas
The MIDPOINT of a segment is the point that divides the segment into two congruent segments. A SEGMENT BISECTOR is a point, ray, line, line segment, or plane that intersects the segment at its midpoint. - A midpoint or a segment bisector BISECTS the segment.

Find the midpoint: The endpoints of Segment RS are R(1, -3) and S(4, 2). Find the coordinates of the midpoint. Find the endpoint: The midpoint of Segment JK is M(2, 1). One endpoint is J(1, 4). Find the coordinate of the endpoint K.

7 1.3 Use Midpoint and Distance Formulas
Find the midpoint: The endpoints of Segment RS are R(7, -2) and S(-5, -6). Find the coordinates of the midpoint. Find the endpoint: The midpoint of Segment JK is M(5, 8). One endpoint is J(2, -3). Find the coordinate of the endpoint K.
