3. Aims of the Italian participation to Eurostat Grant
Istat aims for this grant are:
- Short-term aims
Further improve the products already delivered to the Expert group on LMA harmonisation;
Share experiences in the development of LMAs;
- Medium-term aims
Build a group of experts in the area of LMA development in order to increase the knowledge and improve advances.

Aim: make available methodologies and tools to facilitate the development of LMAs among EU countries.
to systematise and improve the methodological work carried out within Eurostat Task Force on the TTWA algorithm;
make it available;
to improve the script produced so far to create an efficient tool for LMA development coupled with its documentation to be distributed freely.

Small area estimation for unemployment rate at LMA level
