2 Luke 1: 1Many have undertaken to compile a narrative about the events that have been fulfilled among us, 2just as the original eyewitnesses and servants of the word handed them down to us. 3It also seemed good to me, since I have carefully investigated everything from the very first, to write to you in an orderly sequence, most honorable Theophilus, 4so that you may know the certainty of the things about which you have been instructed.

24 40Having said this, He showed them His hands and feet
40Having said this, He showed them His hands and feet. 41But while they still were amazed and unbelieving because of their joy, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, 43and He took it and ate in their presence.

32 46He also said to them, “This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day, 47and repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48You are witnesses of these things. 49And look, I am sending you what My Father promised. 38 Digging Deeper! 1. What does it mean to ‘proclaim repentance for forgiveness of sins to all the nations’? What does it mean to be Jesus’ ‘witnesses’?

39 46He also said to them, “This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day, 47and repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48You are witnesses of these things. 49And look, I am sending you what My Father promised. 60 Digging Deeper! 2. Jesus sent us into the world, just as He was sent. What does that mean for Morning Star as a faith community? What does it mean for me personally?

61 Matthew 28: 16The 11 disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them. 17When they saw Him, they worshiped, but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

62 Matthew 28: 16The 11 disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them. 69 Digging Deeper! 3. Jesus commanded us to ‘make disciples of all nations, baptizing them’ and ‘teaching them’. How does that guide Morning Star in what we are to be and do?

70 Matthew 28: 16The 11 disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them.

71 Digging Deeper! 4. Jesus’ desire is to be unified with His followers, along with the Father. He promised to be with us always. What difference does that make as we face the future together?
