1 Maximal isometric quadriceps strength (QF) (A) and 6-min walk distance (6MWD) (B) expressed as percentage of normative reference values specific to the demographic characteristics of participants (percent predicted) in a cohort of subjects that was longitudinally assessed before lung transplantation (Pre), immediately after hospital discharge (Post), and 3 months (3-m post) and 12 months (1-y post) after lung transplantation. Maximal isometric quadriceps strength (QF) (A) and 6-min walk distance (6MWD) (B) expressed as percentage of normative reference values specific to the demographic characteristics of participants (percent predicted) in a cohort of subjects that was longitudinally assessed before lung transplantation (Pre), immediately after hospital discharge (Post), and 3 months (3-m post) and 12 months (1-y post) after lung transplantation. One part of the cohort was randomly allocated to receive a supervised exercise training program during the first 3 months following hospital discharge (training); the other group (control) received usual care. Error bars denote standard error. * Statistical significance. Data from Reference 86. Stuart C Sweet Respir Care 2017;62: (c) 2012 by Daedalus Enterprises, Inc.
