Prevalence rate The number of people who have died in a population in a year. Incidence rate The number of people who have a particular illness during a given time Morbidity rate The total number of cases of a specific disease in a population at a specific time. Mortality rate The number of new cases of a specific disease in a population at a specific time.

5 Statistics should be treated with caution
Statistical data Always quote where your statistics are from – give the website address Consider ‘who’ published the information Is there any bias? Where were the statistics published? – a newspaper maybe. But does the paper support a particular political party?......more biased data Statistics should be treated with caution
