Positive praise for focus. State that anand of simran can be felt all the time when immersed in seva, simran or sangat. This anand can not be experienced doing any other activity in the world. 5 Half Term Homework Make an A3 collage of Sikh Identity...equipment to use is optional (internet, draw, paint, own photographs) This will be put up at Oadby, for fetes and best ones given to NKJ or other simran keertanis. Deadline:

6 Turban Time! We have talked about the Dastaar a lot but sometimes you need to put the crown on to feel its power. We’ll watch a video which we’ll follow and try to tie at the same time! Each student to be issued with a dastaar and wooden kangha which they can take home- and practice with over half term. Perhaps as an ELC ask them how they feel with it on? Please do tell students about how to look after hair they have combed...not to throw away but to keep.>>>GIVE OUT AND GO THROUGH REHAT HANDOUT HERE Let students know that there are many styles (as per 101 beards video) and many youtube guides etc. Kids can also help each other to tie, as can we. Teacher can use the attached video, re tie their dastaar, show and tell with a student, or free style it or invite a guest to class.
