3 Skit You will have 5 minutes to prepare your skit from Friday.
Your group was to choose a vignette from sections 1-4 and act out. Be sure you include the most important information.

4 Pre-reading Questions for Section 5
Should parents/guardians raise their teenage girls in the same way that they raise their teenage boys? Why or why not? What rules should be the same for girls and boys? What should be different? Do you have brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. who are treated differently from you because of gender?

5 Read Independently Read pages 56-73 on your own.
Fill out the chart on your own paper as you read. Turn this into the tray when you are finished. BEFORE READING AFTER What I know after previewing What I still need to know What I know now

6 Vignette Writing Write about your family dynamic: what it is like having ____ number of siblings OR being an only child. What is it like having a sister, brother, or living with cousins, etc. Remember these vignettes should be about you and your identity! This vignette should be at least 2 paragraphs and include a simile, metaphor and imagery. You may keep this with your other vignettes. You should have a total of 6 after today. Favorite house/dream house, physical trait, safe place/neighborhood/something from a child’s perspective, adolescence, best friend, family dynamic
