1 Reverence in Worship and Service
Psalms 8 Opening: Greeting The purpose of this is to review the topic of Reverence. Specifically, to review our reverence in Worship and Service to God. Whereas those are two different things, both are important for us to understand. Some questions we need to ask ourselves, constantly: Do we revere God? How serious are we in: Worship to Him? - Acts, focus. Is it sacred. Are we irreverent, joking, etc.? Prayer - He is the "Almighty", the Great, "I Am" Evangelism - He is there with us. What are we doing during the lesson? Communion - focus before, during, after, no kidding, whispering, joking Offering - Fellowship with each other. Rendering to him. Singing - Focus (words/notes more than the meaning or that it's to/about Him) Service to Him? - regard for others, ourselves, distractions Classes - arriving early, on time, late? Talking before or during? Do we come prepared? preparing Communion, etc. Joy & Devotion – Do we understand that they are not exclusive. We can be joyous and seriously committed at the same time.

11 What is it to Revere God? It’s an individual review.
It is an individual review. Others witness our actions and can judge, but WE must make that self-review, judgment, and corrective action with God. Do not take Worship or service to Him lightly; we are to be joyous, but in HIM, not ourselves. Service and most importantly Worship are to be selfless and reverent.
