17 Axiom with Diagnostics Detect automated valve problems
Axiom Diagnostics Web Cast Axiom with Diagnostics Detect automated valve problems . . . before they shut down your process Thank you for joining us to learn more about the Axiom with Diagnostics. This presentation will be followed by a question and answer session so please plan to be with us for the next 45-minutes. My name is Tammy Lueders. Before we begin, I will take 2 minutes to help you become familiar with this application environment. Jan. 29, 2010

18 AS-Interface Diagnostics (AMI96)
Axiom Diagnostics Web Cast AS-Interface Diagnostics (AMI96) Remote calibration and monitoring Open and closed switch settings Identification winking 2. Identify root causes quickly Low supply pressure Malfunctioning solenoid Stuck pneumatic spool or pilot valve Stuck process valve/actuator Predictive Diagnostics Identify root causes quickly - solenoid coil Stuck pneumatic spool or pilot valve - air pressure Stuck process valve/actuator - it will assess, and it is the only factor problem Low supply pressure - gives alert that this valve would not operate if called upon to do so. In predictive sense, if too low, alert would say this valve may not operate. Know before hand to correct, saves having problems. You need to maintain before you can operate. Offers basic diagnostics and alert functions. Jan. 29, 2010

19 AMI96 Installation Same as standard AS-Interface network
Axiom Diagnostics Web Cast AMI96 Installation Same as standard AS-Interface network Additional bits mapped into standard operating software Uses ASi 2.1 or newer with standard addressing (Up to 31 units per segment) May be used on the same segment as standard AS-Interface devices Additional bits mapped into standard operating software - only extra needed Uses ASi 2.1 or newer with standard addressing - up to 31 units per segment standard or diagnostic Jan. 29, 2010

20 HART Diagnostics (AMI71)
Axiom Diagnostics Web Cast HART Diagnostics (AMI71) Remote calibration and monitoring Open and closed switch settings Identification winking Pneumatic pressure low and high alarm settings Monitor exact position, pressure and electronics temperature 2. Identify root causes quickly Low and high pressure alarms Malfunctioning solenoid Stuck pneumatic spool or pilot valve Stuck process valve/actuator Predictive Diagnostics Pneumatic pressure alarms Open and closed pressure thresholds Critical parameter trending and baseline comparison Historical trending of key parameters Jan. 29, 2010

21 Axiom Diagnostics – Demos (More tomorrow!)
Web Cast Axiom Diagnostics – Demos (More tomorrow!) Software, HART modem and power up connector provides interface to Axiom model with HART diagnostics. AS-Interface demo kits and software integrate directly with Axiom models with ASi diagnostics. Bob, remember to START CONVERSATION with Wally after you become presenter. Plug in system wiring, connector to model, power up, solenoid on/off, modem, and use Blue Tooth. Goes to 30 feet minimum for signal, plug in to read, and software for PC, EDD information, and into graphics. As administrator, it was easy to load. AS interface: all cases have capability of the diagnostics shown on screen or ASi demo board. Readily available from StoneL. WALLY NEEDS PRESENTING RIGHTS – Bob give or Wally take. Jan. 29, 2010

33 Day 1 Training Sept. 19, 2007 Question & Answers What will happen if you attach power directly across the C-Module with no load? How will the Axiom position settings be affected on loss of power? Which versions of the Axiom must be specified for a single acting (Spring Return) actuator as opposed to a double acting actuator? Can the Axiom be used in sub-zero (F) or temperatures above 150°? What special software is required for the AS-I diagnostics? Can the Expeditor be used in standard positioner applications? Valve Communication (D)
