2. Muon Installation Phases
Phased installation:-
Phase 1 all 12 BMF, 6 BOG, and 4 BOF - completed.
Phase 2a BMS chambers in sector 10 – completed.
Phase 2b BMS chambers in sector 16 – completed.
Phase 3a 6 BML (completed), and 3 BOL (1 installed) in sector 13.
Phase 3b will be installation of EIL4 at end A.
Phase 4 is muon installation after the release of the jacks of the BT coil. Also muon rails and brackets will be checked at this stage, and adjusted to position.

In all cases of installation to date there have been problems in achieving the positional accuracy required. Typically play in brackets and bow of rails.
Rail alignment, survey and adjusting is very time consuming.
Rail & bracket delivery just in time!!!!!
Services installation concerns.
Connection to installation frame – watch pitch and “Z”.
Lifting beams inc TIS approval will be dealt with at Work-package and PPSPS meeting in future. Also to include procedure.
BML & BOL rail installation hit by many small clashes with bolt heads, feet, brackets. All relatively trivial items but each takes many hours to fix.
“Z” survey target required on all rails.
