2 We wanted our film/ opening title sequence to be attracted to a big range of audiences as it is a independent film and would have quite a niche audience. We went for the range of because many teens enjoy to watch a thriller film and year old would be more likely to have time to visit the cinema and might be interested in the thriller genre. To help us determine what our audience might be like we gathered a range of people and asked them to watch our opening title sequence and asked them whether they liked it or not. From this we were able to get a better understanding of what our audience looks like and possibly what brands the use and whether they were middle, working or upper class. As our film is based on a novel we knew that it would attract an audience from that as well. We gathered information about other films based on novels and what sort of audience they had so that we were able to know what age our average view would be. Because it is based on a novel this is why our audience age starts at 15 as they are more likely to read a book like twilight, the fault in our stars or harry potter. We also chose to go up to 30 years as that is also another age to read the book.
