1 How to use Accelerated Math Correctly!!!
By: Mrs. Whittey

2 Things you will need Pencil Scan Tron Practice, Exercise, or Test
Good Attitude Self-discipline

3 Working at your desk It will be tempting to want to talk to your friends, but this is a NO! Instead, you should focus on answering your questions correctly so you can get a good score. Write on the paper and not your desk. Bubble in the scan card after each question or after all questions have been solved.

4 Do’s and Don'ts DO Don’t Stay in your seat Work quietly
Keep all papers Turn in tops report right away Try hard Don’t More than 2 students at the teacher’s desk Talk with people in class Throw away assignment when finished. Copy answers from tops report Just put random answers

5 What next? After you complete the assignment scan your card
Wait at the printer for a tops report and next assignment Check the tops report for errors and then give to Mrs. Whittey

6 Common Problems Didn’t fill in your form number before you scan.
The number of questions you answered doesn’t match up with your worksheet. Make sure you start off at the correct number and not always just number 1. Scan card gets marks, tears, and creases which keep it from being able to scan.

7 I’m done, Right? WRONG! You need a score of at least 80% overall to earn full credit for the assignment. 80%

8 Grading Scale 80% or greater earns 5 points (A)
79% and lower earns 3 points (D-) Don’t scan at all and get 0 points (E)

9 How do I know when I am all done?
Accelerated Math is designed to always be testing you on new material. It never stops. You will never be all done. Instead, you will only have completed/mastered objectives.

10 Why even do Accelerated Math?
Students that do Accelerated Math will be more successful at the Star Assessment and MEAP. Students that do not try hard will be more likely to fail.
