Read: John 1:1-3,14 Jesus is God. Jesus came down to earth as a human in order to be our Savior.
Read: Philippians 2:6-11 Even though Jesus was in fact God, He came to the earth to die on the cross for our sins.

Read: Romans 6:23 - The payment was death. We are sinners; we deserved to die. However, Jesus came to die in our place.
Read: Isaiah 53:5,6 - Our sins were placed on Jesus; He was punished in our place in order to give us forgiveness.

Read: James 2:10 - Even if you’ve done a “good job” keeping God’s commands, breaking even one of His commands condemns you! God is Holy, which means He is completely pure with no evil in Him. God does not demand a good try. He demands perfection.

Read: Ephesians 2:8,9 - Grace means favor we do not deserve. We cannot earn our salvation by our own good works. All we can do is believe what God has said and accept the life He offers.

Read: John 3: God did not come to condemn you but to save you! God reaffirms that He sent Jesus in order to save a sinful world, not condemn it. On the cross, Jesus took all of our condemnation.

God promises in His Word that you can have the assurance of going to Heaven. If you believe in Jesus then you have crossed over from death to life! You can know for a fact that you have eternal life!
