The aim of this lesson is to be able to draw a bar chart and a line graph from a given set of data

A bar chart A survey was carried out to identify the types of vehicles travelling along a country lane. The results were as follows: Vehicle Car Bus Bike Lorry Tractor Number 11 4 7 6 3 We will now draw a bar chart.

Reading Bar Charts The results obtained by a group of pupils in a maths test are shown. The mark is on the horizontal axis and the number of pupils obtaining that mark is on the vertical axis. How many pupils sat the test? If the test was marked out of a score of 10, do you think the test was easy or difficult? If the pass mark is 5, how many pupils passed the test?
