5 Inclusion Inclusion is the act of including all students in a learning environment regardless of differences, background or abilities. An inclusive classroom is one that meets the needs of all learners. Read, discuss, share articles: Bullying, The killing Emily Club, Jack and Tom and Caitlin (Hyde, Carpenter & Conway, 2010 Chapter 5 Gender and Diversity in the Classroom)

6 Assessment Task 3 This task is really about planning for an entire topic that you could teach in a primary school classroom. It will get you thinking about how to develop some scope and sequence in what you will teach and also how to incorporate the Victorian Curriculum into your planning as this is the curriculum you will be using when you are teaching in the classroom. ** Familiarize yourself with the Victorian Curriculum **Choose a topic

7 Assessment Task 3 The unit overview must include the following information unit title description of the year level(s) your unit is designed for rationale for the unit overall objectives (outcomes) assessment activities.

8 Assessment Task 3 Your framework will cover at least ten, 60-minute lessons. The unit framework must include the following information for each lesson: content (topic) learning intentions a brief description of learning activities (with details included in an appendix) a list of helpful resources.

9 Assessment Task 3 Develop individual lesson plans for the beginning lesson (lesson 1) and the final lesson (lesson 10). Use the Federation University Lesson Plan Template **Finally create a reference page using APA citation style
