1 Head or Tail – We Win! Philippians 1:20 - 25
According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.  Philippians 1:21  For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  Philippians 1:22  But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.  Philippians 1:23  For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.  Philippians 1:24  Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.  Philippians 1:25  And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith,

2 Today is the first Sunday in the year 2019
Today is the first Sunday in the year The year of GRACE FOR BREAKING LIMITS. It is a day we should be full of joy, to dance, praise, worship and exalt the name of God for all He did for us last year and the good He will continue to do this new year. But satan is an aggressor, who thinks that he can panic, confuse, intimidate, sober us and take our focus off the prophetic word of God by taking the life of one of our brethren. But satan is daft. You see we are not like unbelievers or the people of the world that can be cowered or controlled by the fear of death. We are the redeemed of the Lord. Jesus has delivered us from the fear of death. Heb. 2:14  - 15 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,  Heb. 2:15  and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  We are not motivated by the fear of death, we are driven by the desire to pursue kingdom purpose here on earth and to live out our legally assigned 70 – 120 years glorifying God and His kingdom. Psa. 118:17  I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD Matt. 5:16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.  So for us as Children of God, we cannot be deterred, or depressed or intimidated or cowered by the devil, using the fear of death. Why? Because head or tail we win. Whether we live or we die satan is a loser, we win as long as we die in Christ. Php. 1:20  - 25 According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.  Php. 1:21  For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (head or tail I win) Php. 1:22  But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.  Php. 1:23  For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.  Php. 1:24  Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. (your reason to live must be beyond and more for the kingdom and others around you) Php. 1:25  And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith,

3 For a Christian actively living in the purpose of God, you cannot be threatened by satan or by the fear of death. Because whether you live or you die you win and satan is a loser. God and the angels will protect you because of the kingdom purpose you are pursuing actively and also engaged in. If for any reason you die in battle, you will go straight to a wonderful reward awaiting you. That is what Paul is saying, and that is why head or tail you win. That is why we will not be afraid or be sober but more aggressive and committed to decimating the kingdom of satan irrespective of what he does. We are not like the people of the world whose hope is so limited to this world alone. No we are not! 1Cor. 15:16  - 17 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen.  1Cor. 15:17  And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!  1Cor. 15:18  Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.  1Cor. 15:19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.  1Cor. 15:20  But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.  Christ is risen from the dead so our hope is not limited to our physical life otherwise we are indeed a great loser. But thank God satan is the loser. Head or tail we win. You see, we will not deny the loss of our brother and the enormous pain we feel because of the attack on the church, but we will never be deterred or cowered or retreat because the word of God provides for us more reasons to rejoice than to be hopeless. 1Thess. 4:13  - 18 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.  1Thess. 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.  1Thess. 4:15  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.  1Thess. 4:16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  1Thess. 4:17  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.  1Thess. 4:18  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

4 So, we are more persuaded by the word of God, than our experiences and our feelings, that no matter what the devil does, head or tail we win. And the praise of God will remain in our mouth always. Rom. 8:37  - 39 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  Rom. 8:38  For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,  Rom. 8:39  nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  So what do we do in all these and at this time? Hab. 3:17  - 18 Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls—  Hab. 3:18  Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.  Isa. 61:3  To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."  Psa. 149: 6  - 9 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,  Psa. 149:7  To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples;  Psa. 149:8  To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;  Psa. 149:9  To execute on them the written judgment—This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!
