2 The Commercial Revolution was a period, from the 1000s to the 1300s, when money and trade grew in importance in Europe.

3 The Commercial Revolution occurred in Europe due to an increase in trade, which was caused by the Crusades.

4 Some effects of the Commercial Revolution on Europe included:

5 1. The development of towns and cities, along trade routes.
