Two alternative models to current one for fee and vote were introduced for discussion
NIR regarded as LIR’s side
NIR regarded as APNIC side
However both are not very reasonable

Current one was established after a big long discussion among various constituencies, so quite difficult to change
Alternative model may happen but after such amount of discussions and negotiations
Of course must be accepted by the membership
Conclusion:
Keep on discussing on-line

Why we haven’t regarded it as a SIG ?
Because the topic is quite limited to NIRs business and operations
Why not regard it as a SIG?
Quite specific to NIRs but yet a “Special Interest”
Operations and logistics are just the same
Normalization will ease Secretariat’s burden
Conclusion: Let’s call it “NIR SIG”
