1 Spontaneous iliac arteriovenous fistula
Charles Morrow, M.D., Charles Lewinstein, M.D., Yoram Ben-Menachem, M.D.  Journal of Vascular Surgery  Volume 6, Issue 5, Pages (November 1987) DOI: / (87) Copyright © 1987 Society for Vascular Surgery and North American Chapter, International Society for Cardiovascular Surgery Terms and Conditions

2 Fig. 1 Digital subtraction aortogram of the distal infrarenal aorta. Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) measuring 10 × 4.4 cm reaches the bifurcation. The right common iliac artery (open arrow), after a course of only 1.5 cm, becomes an 8.4 × 7 cm aneurysm (CIA). Very early opacification of the inferior vena cava (IVC) and retrograde filling of the right external iliac vein (arrow) is evidence of an arteriovenous fistula between the iliac artery aneurysm and the right common iliac vein.
