Sometimes the bow may spread all the way across the sky, with its two ends seeming to touch the earth. There are seven colors in each bow- violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. The red is at the top of the arch. The colors blend into one another so that we rarely see more than four or five of them clearly.
