7 Player Even Up - Even players on field to start match & always unless yellow/red card If a player is injured and the team has no player to replace the injured player, the opposing team must even up immediately.

8 Player Even Up Yellow/Red Card Scenarios 22 vs 18
Team A = 22 & Team B = 18 No even ups are required Team B Yellow? Player not replaced 18 vs 17 Team B Red? Not replaced 18 vs 17. Even up at next break and even down after 15mins. Team A Yellow? Replace. 18 vs 18 Team A Red? No Replace. 17 vs 18

9 Player Even Up Yellow/Red Card Scenario - 19 vs 17
Team A = 19 players and Team B=17 players Team A provides Team B with spare now A & B =18 Team B Yellow? Lose player & Not replaced  Now only 17 on the field v Team A’s 18. Uneven Team B Red? Lose player, not replaced, uneven (17 vs 18). After 15mins Team A to even down to 17 players + 1 on bench. Team A Yellow? Can’t replace as no spare. Team B must take one player from the field. This player stays on Team B’s bench until both players can go back on after 15 mins. Team A Red? Not replace so 17 vs 18. After 15 mins, Team B evens down to 17 (give spare back).

10 Player Even Up Yellow/Red Card Scenario - 22 vs 16
Team A = 22 & Team B = 16 Team A  Team B with 2 players now 18 (2 bench) vs 18 If Team B is yellow carded? Player Short 17 vs 18 Team B is red carded? Player short for 15mins then both even down to 17. Even up again at next break. Team A Yellow ? Replace. 18 vs 18 Team A Red? No replace 17 vs 18. Replace after 15mins.

No time on may be added to any game, except: If the field umpire suspends play (by blowing their whistle and indicating to the Time Keeper with both hands above his head in the shape of a “T”) due to a player sustaining an injury that requires the use of a stretcher or that the Umpire considers serious.

13 Clock Stopped/Restart
No time on may be added to any game, except: If the field umpire suspends play in the event of any Order Off offence committed by a player or official. If a Captain approaches the field umpire to request a head count. If in the opinion of the field umpire, exceptional circumstances are warranted.

14 Stretcher Protocol 37.2 Umpire “T”
The timekeeper shall stop the clock at the time a stretcher crosses the boundary line and the field umpire has called time Shall restart the clock at the time the field umpire recommences play and calls time on and the timekeeper shall also record the time out and the time of the quarter at which point the clock was stopped.

15 Stretchers Protocol Cont.
In the event that the time taken to attend to the injured player exceeds 10 minutes from the time out the following will apply. If the quarter ends during the delay: time will be called for the quarter and play will recommence for the next quarter. If the final quarter is in progress and the stretcher is called for, the remaining time will be played out.

16 Stretchers Protocol Decision Tree
Stretcher Called <10mins to remove player from ground Clock re-starts and play is resumed as per normal. >10mins to remove player from ground If quarter (1,2,3) would have finished then time for that quarter is called If the stretcher was called 2 mins into the 1st q of a year 8 game. Took 11 mins to remove the player. Then the remaining 2 mins of the quarter will be played. If 4th quarter: Time is played out. Umpire Stops the Clock (“T”) – 2nd umpire to go to bench and make sure time is paused. Need to record how long time is paused for! Stretchers Protocol Decision Tree
