7. 6 How to save a bite mark l Bitemarks are sometimes left on flesh, a discarded piece of fruit, or on another surface such as a pen/pencil, etc. l If the bite marks are found on someones skin, photography is the best method of preservation l If it is on a surface which will degrade quickly, it is best to make a cast; then a mold is made to make a replication of the teeth pattern
