Achievers A1+: Unit 1

2 Present Simple Affirmative & Negative
Use: We use the present simple to talk about regular actions, such as habits and routines. We also use it to describe permanent situations and facts. Ex. School starts every day at 8:15 AM.

3 Present Simple Affirmative & Negative
Structure: Regular verbs in present simple affirmative change form only in the 3rd person singular. In all other persons, the form is identical to the infinitive. Regular verbs in present simple negative require the auxilary verbs don’t or doesn’t. Don’t and doesn’t are contractions of do not and does not. We often use contractions when we speak. Doesn’t is used with 3rd person singular. All other persons use don’t. The main verb is ALWAYS in the infinitive when we use don’t or doesn’t.
