The patient is a 57-year-old man with a clinical diagnosis of in-stent restenosis on his left side by digital subtraction angiography and CT angiography (A–D, arrows), the implanted stent is very long and the carotid bifurcation is very high. A dissection in the arterial wall distal to the site of the stent was demonstrated by intraoperative angiography (E). The dissection disappeared after stenting (F).
