-freedom makes us responsible for our actions -determinism denies this -we are self-determining -kinds of freedom -external -internal -when we are free from these limitations, we are free for -limits on freedom -license*

3 -abuses against freedom -we have physical limitations to freedom -intellectual freedom -Emotional limits -impediments to freedom -can decrease our responsibility (imputability) for actions -ignorance -inadvertence -duress -inordinate attachments -fear -habit -responsibility -emotions and morality*

7 The 10 Commandments 1. I am the Lord your God, you shall have no others before me. 2. Do not take the name of the Lord in vain. 3. Keep holy the Sabbath day. 4. Honor your father and mother. 5. You shall not kill. 6. You shall not commit adultery. 7. You shall not steal. 8. You shall not bear false witness. 9. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. 10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods.*
