Once you do that, stack the used SB books in the middle of your group

3. Reader Response Criticism
Your beliefs, attitude and ideas influence how you read and interpret.
Reader response criticism allows the reader to understand his/her own bias toward a text.

4. The Three Pieces:
• Reading Situation: the circumstances surrounding the reading, including purposes
• Reader: person engaged in the reading process
• Text: what is being read

5. In Pairs Read scenario 1 and 2 on page 10 and complete with a partner
Do your own work on your own page, but work together to collaborate your ideas

6. On Your Own Read and annotate page 11
Respond to the question below using complete sentences!

7. My Papa’s Waltz 1: read out loud 2: read alone and annotate
3: read out loud with a partner and annotate more
4: read alone once more, and answer the after reading question (3) using complete sentences.
