2. Announcements Beginning Orchestra and Guitar After school help is cancelled today. Beginners should plan to come tomorrow after school.

3. Announcements Minute to Win it Finalize your Minute to Win It team and register no later than Friday, October 18th. Drop your completed form in the marked box in the main office. To participate you MUST pre-register. No late registrations will be accepted.

4. Announcements Chili Cook-off Event Calling all athletic, club and teacher teams. Who has the best chili? Register for the Chili-Cook-off event taking place next Tuesday with the Minute to Win It event. Registration forms may be found in your teacher mailbox. Win $100 for the best chili and/or $50 for best decorated booth for your organization!

5. Announcements DC United Soccer Game DC United Soccer game is Sunday, October 27th at 1:30pm. Come out with fellow Parkside students and families and enjoy watching a great soccer game. The first 20 Parkside students to purchase discounted tickets will get to walk on the field carrying the large American flag during opening ceremonies! Order forms and money is due no later than Monday, October 21st!

7. Announcements Homework Club Do you want some extra help on your homework? Do you need access to a computer and dont have one at home? Do you enjoy playing fun games? If so, join the homework club. We will be meeting Mon-Thurs after school. Come only the days you have homework. Permission slips are in the office and outside of room 618. See Ms. Mattson with any questions.

8. Breast Cancer Awareness Month Show your support by doing the following: Make a $1 donation * and get a pink bracelet! (Donations taken during lunches.) PINK OUT Fridays for the month of October. Wear pink shirts, socks, shoes, etc...to show your support! *All money raised will be donated to a local cancer center
