1 easYgen-3000XT Series Training
Hardware and I/O

2 Introduction The voltage measuring inputs of EasYgen 3000XT permits user to customize the controller for use with a wide range of potential transformers and system configurations. Each controller has a set of software configurable inputs to use with 100 VAC or 400VAC applications, with configurable ranges. The CT inputs may be configured for any combination of monitoring and protection schemes to provide the highest level of flexibility possible for the user. Each easYgen operates with both 1A and 5A CTs, software selectable. EasYgen permits the user to freely configure the analog inputs in order to work with a wide range of senders.

3 Introduction Voltage measurement Different methods of connection
High measuring accuracy <= 0.5% One set of inputs 100/400VAC, software selectable Current measurement One set of CT inputs 1A/5A, software selectable High measuring accuracy <=0.5% Maximum power consumption per phase is 0.1VA Analog inputs Different kind of sensors, resistive, current, voltage High accuracy 0.5%

4 Power supply 12/24 Vdc (8 to 40 Vdc) power supply – able to withstand power dropouts up to 10ms Cranking waveform supported Recommend installing a slow blow fuse on the power input, e.g. NEOZED D01 6A or miniature circuit breaker 6A / Type C

5 Power supply With power ON the easYgen-300XT device is monitoring self preparation by some display on screen and buton illumination. HOME screen shows the device is working. Maximum permissible differential voltage between terminal 64 (B-) and terminal 61 (PE) is 100V.

6 Pickup Input MPU The MPU input (Magnetic Pickup Unit) measures the engine speed by counting the teeth of the flywheel. The number of teeth is adjustable Switching or inductive senders may be used Load

7 Pickup Input MPU Usage from the j1939 speed Value
The device uses the value from the ECU (SPN 190) It‘s not necessary to connect an external speed sensor

8 Voltage measurement True RMS measurement of the generator, mains and busbar voltage Measuring inputs: Rated 100Vac up to 480Vac Maximum value 624Vac Frequency 30Hz up to 85Hz

9 Voltage measurement EasYgen allows for different PT connections for generator and mains: 3 phase 4 wire open delta 3 phase 4 wire 3 phase 3 wire 1 phase 3 wire 1 phase 2 wire For busbar voltage measurement: Details can be found in the schematics.

10 Current measurement EasYgen allows for different CT connections for generator: 3 phase 4 wire 3 phase 3 wire 1 phase 3 wire 1 phase 2 wire Details can be found in the schematics.

20 Analog inputs Wiring senders

21 Analog inputs Battery voltage with bar graph
Bar graph disappears if input is switched OFF

22 Analog inputs Actual measured value Numeric and graphical
Text for input description is configurable Bar graph min / max value

23 Analog outputs 300VAC continuous isolation against ground (preferred for AVR biasing) Filter Time Constant: 5ms Fully adjustable +/- 20mA and +/- 10V Internal shunt is manager automatically (no need to bridge)

24 Analog outputs Two analog outputs +/- 20mA or Output signals
+/- 10V or PWM (500 Hz) Output signals speed bias (governor) voltage bias (AVR) measured values (power, power factor …) Actual output signal % in relation to the configured range

25 Auxiliary exctitation D+
The D+ is an input and an output Provides an auxiliary excitation voltage during the cranking of the engine, can be switched off Measures the D+ voltage after startup of the engine
