3 RADICAL EXPRESSION A radical expression contains a radical. It is simplified when the following statements are true : -The radicand has no perfect square factors other than 1. -The radicand contains no fractions. -No radicals appear in the denominator.

Make a factor tree Look for pairs. Remember, you must have a friend to come out of the house and play.

7 Simplify each product. Remember, you can multiply radicals together. You multiply what is in the house together and you can multiply what is outside of the house together. Put the two radicals together and factor.
