In response to regulation changes and recommendations made by energy auditors, energy retrofitters implement systems that save energy in homes, businesses and institutions.
Education and Training
Training in HVAC systems, general contracting, energy management certification
Understanding of energy efficiency and LEED principles
Understanding of Renewable and Alternative energy sources
Fall Arrest and confined spaces certification an asset
Maintain character while increasing efficiency
Working Conditions
Work is both team driven and individual
Mostly in homes and offices, some outdoor work may be required
Operation of hand and power tools
Standing, lifting and other physical demands

Installing energy efficient systems
Upgrading building infrastructure such as plumbing, heating, insulations, lighting, windows, etc.
Draft-proofing
Assisting with energy audits
Follow all health and safety regulations
