As a deer longs for flowing streams, so I long for you, God. 2 I thirst for God, the living God. When can I come and appear before God? (Ps 42:1-2 CSB)

Think of the Passover meal as our daily time with Jesus, Does this verse change how you see your daily time with Jesus?

5. What prevents us from quenching our thirst for Christ through prayer?
What is the only thing that quenches your thirst when you are thirsty?

6. Now he told them a parable on the need for them to pray always and not give up. 2 “There was a judge in a certain town who didn’t fear God or respect people. 3 And a widow in that town kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’

7. 4 “For a while he was unwilling, but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or respect people, 5 yet because this widow keeps† pestering me, I will give her justice, so that she doesn’t wear me out† by her persistent coming.’ ”

How can we pray with confidence if we are not sure how God is going to answer our prayer?

10. My tears have been my food day and night,
while all day long people say to me,
“Where is your God? ” 4 I remember this as I pour out my heart: how I walked with many,
leading the festive procession to the house of God, with joyful and thankful shouts.
5 Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God.

Why might our souls be downcast and disturbed despite our payers? What is the remedy?
