2. What is required to register on the portal
Updated information on the Local Government Database((LGDB)
Municipal Manager ultimately responsible for submission
Require a Letter of delegation signed by the municipal manager if the
upload of data and supporting documents is delegated to officials
MM and delegated officials must be registered on the LGDB
Delegated officials must be permanent employees
No interns
No system vendors
No consultants
No temporary staff

Contact information not up-to-date on the LGDB
Recent elections and new demarcations
Running out of time – late registrations (18 months passed and less than 30 municipalities registered)
Time consuming:
manual interventions from municipalities and National Treasury
